History
Around April 1998, a WNBA announced it would add 2 expansion teams (Minnesota & the Orlando Miracle), for the 1999 season. A Lynx began their initiative year inside 1999 with 12,000 fans in attendance to observe a foremost regular-year game, against a Detroit Shock at Target Center. A Lynx won their number one gage 68 to 51 against Detroit. It finished their number one year 15-17 overall.
A Lynx' 1st head coach Brian Agler was released when you took a 2002 season. Heidi VanDerveer became the interim head coach for the remainder of the year.
Within 2003, a Lynx hired Suzie McConnell Serio as head coach. She lead the team to finished by using a franchise-right 18-16 record & advanced to the WNBA Playoffs first. It matched two one deed in the 2004 season.
